Concerts for Kindergartens and Primary Schools
(children aged 3-7)
The PKF – Prague Philharmonia was the first orchestra to organize educational programmes for children in the Czech Republic. For more than 10 years our concerts for children with their unique programme have ranked amongst the best offered in Prague.
Interactive concerts, which are great fun for children, with the elves Šíma and Lupi from the workshop of Veronika Poldauf Riedlbauchová and Šárka Krejčí. For the 2018–2019 school year, they are once again offering four interesting themes from the world of music. This time the children will play at doing different jobs with Šíma and Lupi in each of the four parts, through which they will delve into different areas of music.
An advantage of the school concerts is that children can meet in a more intimate setting which allows for more intensive interaction with child audiences. Other than absorbing music with help of the musicians of the PKF – Prague Philharmonia and the actors that also perform as funny guides through the events, the children also get new skills thanks to creative quizes.

Dates in 2018–2019
Thu 25 and Fri 26 October 2018, 9.30 and 11 am
In the first meeting Šíma and Lupi, masked as servants, smuggle themselves to a feast at a castle in Domažlice. What will happen? Don’t hesitate and enter the composer’s kitchen to try out the colours and sounds of musical dishes on offer!
Thu 6 and Fri 7 December 2018, 9.30 and 11 am
In the second session Šíma decides to win the Olympics. Can Lupi help him to a real win? This time we’ll be playing with melody. The ice-skating will be adorned with pirouettes, in relay the baton will pass from instrument to instrument and at a tennis court the melody will be bouncing like a tennis ball.
Thu 28 February and Fri 1 March 2019, 9.30 and 11 am
In the third meeting Lupi wants to buy something nice to wear. Will Šíma succeed to make Lupi happy without ruining his finances? The blacksmith, tailor, joiner and other craftsmen set to work in a marching rhythm and tempo!
Thu 25 and Fri 26 April 2019, 9.30 and 11 am
In the last meeting Šíma and Lupi have decided to build a whole town. Will you help them? As proper builders we shall need strong foundations and a clear structure. And if we don’t want it to collapse on our heads, we shall need musical forms.
