Prague Philharmonia with their honorary art conductor Jiří Bělohlávek is closing the season 2009/2010 on Wednesday 28 April 2010. They will perform together with the Irish mezzo-soprano Zandra McMaster and the French cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras.

De Niese and Bronfman in Prague Philharmonia's new season

The celebrated American soprano Danielle de Niese and the pianist Yefim Bronfman will be guest stars of the Prague Philharmonia's new concert season 2009-2010. Other outstanding musicians such as the oboist Albrecht Mayer, violinist Volkhard Steude, cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras, flautist Magali Mosnier, conductors Jiří Bělohlávek, Emmanuel Villaume and Damian Iorio will also perform with the orchestra. The chief conductor Jakub Hrůša will conduct several of the season's concerts.
Jakub Hrůša appointed Music Director of Glyndebourne on Tour

The Prague Philharmonia’s Chief Conductor Jakub Hrůša has been appointed next Music Director and Chief Conductor of Glyndebourne on Tour (GOT). His collaboration with the GTO will start in January 2010, when he will take the post currently held by Robin Ticciati.
Prague Philharmonia with Anna Netrebko on her latest CD

The Prague Philharmonia accompanies the famous soprano Anna Netrebko on her latest album Souvenirs being released by the prestigious label Deutsche Grammophon. The CD also includes Dvořák’s "Songs My Mother Taught Me" performed by Anna Netrebko in Czech as a tribute to the orchestra.

The Prague Philharmonia performed next to Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Sting, Angela Gheorgiu, Andrea Bocelli, Zucchero and other artists at a star-studded concert at the ancient city of Petra, Jordan in honour of the legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
