16th concert season 2009-2010

PKF for Children

PKF for Children

The Prague Philharmonia is the first orchestra in the Czech Republic to organize special concerts for children. They have become very popular and regulary sell out the Dvořák Hall of Rudolfinum.

After eight years of existence, the children concert series has been given a new form the author of which is the theatre director David Jařab. The actors Saša Rašilov, in the role of a somewhat naughty boy Emil, and Vanda Hybnerová, as his mother, present the concerts.

Building on this successful platform, the Prague Philharmonia has launched the NOTIČKA club for children between four and thirteeen years of age. The club members have the opportunity to get to know various musical instruments, meet the musicians, to develop other esthetic interests including drawing and dramatic arts, and, last but not least, to make new friends.
