Continual ‘brainwashing’, which included destroying books, forbidding certain authors, annual meetings, meaningless slogans, never-ceasing witch-hunts against genetics, sociology, depth psychology, cybernetics, semiotics and linguistics... All this shaped life in Eastern Europe before 1989. But is it all really in the past? An evening of vocal-instrumental music setting texts that were banned in the past or are still banned now.
