Kateřina Kněžíková opens the third season of the PKF — LOBKOWICZ Donor Series
The soprano Kateřina Kněžíková, one of the most prominent figures of the contemporary Czech opera scene, will be the artistic guest of the first evening of the third season of PKF — LOBKOWICZ Series on Wed 24 April at the Lobkowicz Palace in Prague. In her performance, Monteverdi´s and Martinů´s Lamento d'Arianna and a selection of songs for soprano and orchestra by French composer Gabriel Fauré will be heard.
This season the Series welcomes four extraordinary artists: in addition to soprano Kateřina Kněžíková, the holder of the International Classical Music Award 2017, cellist Daniel Müller-Schott, horn player and conductor Radek Baborák and Iranian harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani, the first harpsichord player in the history who was invited to solo recital at BBC Proms in London.
Proceeds from the PKF — LOBKOWICZ Donor Series will be traditionally supporting the PKF — Prague Philharmonia. The cycle takes place in close cooperation with the Lobkowicz family.
