PKF – Prague Philharmonia invites all musicians aged from 18 to 30 years playing violin, viola, violoncello, doublebass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone or percussion to the audition to PKF 2019–2020 Orchestral Academy.
The soprano Kateřina Kněžíková, one of the most prominent figures of the contemporary Czech opera scene, will be the artistic guest of the first evening of the third season of PKF — LOBKOWICZ Donor Series on Wednesday 24 April at the Lobkowicz Palace in Prague.
On the occasion of celebrating the second anniversary of the opening of the cultural center at the Karlín Barracks, we will present for your enjoyment six unique open-air concerts for a total of 3,600 people. Forty members of the PKF — Prague Philharmonia will perform on stage under the leadership of twenty-eight-year-old Czech conductor Jiří Rožeň.

Fewer people know, however, that America in the 1930s and 40s provided sanctuary for a large number of outstanding European composers. One of the most interesting destinations at this time was Los Angeles in California.
