Trumpet Section Audition

PKF - Prague Philharmonia announces an audition for the TRUMPET SECTION with the obligation of 1st trumpet (part-time position with start date of September 1, 2024).

The audition will take place on May 22, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the KD Ládví (Burešova 1661/2, Prague 8).

Audition Requirements

First Round (Anonymous)

J. Haydn: Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major (1st and 2nd movements including cadenza)

Orchestral Excerpts:

A. Dvořák: Symphony No. 9 in E minor "From the New World", Op. 95 (marked section)

Second Round

Orchestral Excerpts:

J.S. Bach: Christmas Oratorio BWV 248, excerpts

L.v. Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 in C minor "Fate", Op. 67, 2nd and 4th movements, excerpts

A. Dvořák: Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op. 88, 1st and 4th movements, excerpts

A. Dvořák: Slavonic Dance No. 4, excerpt

G. Mahler: Symphony No. 4, 1st and 3rd movements, excerpts

R. Strauss: Der Bürger als Edelmann, Op. 60, Overture, "Der Fechtmeister" and "Das Diner", excerpts

N. Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade, Op. 35, 4th movement, excerpts

I. Stravinsky: Pulcinella, excerpts

M. Ravel: Piano Concerto in G major, 1st movement, excerpts
